Overview

U.S. presidential inaugurations attract dignitaries and global leaders, as well as hundreds of thousands of visitors, to the nation's capital. Washington, D.C.'s Office of Unified Communications (OUC) is tasked with managing the safety and security of the important event.

For the 2025 inauguration, OUC implemented Octave's cloud-based collaboration tool, Octave OnCall Connect (formerly HxGN Connect), to coordinate among the many local, state, federal and military public safety agencies charged with safety during the event. OnCall Connect empowered agencies with visibility and real-time awareness, ensuring a fast and coordinated response to any emergencies that arose.
