Understanding the context: From Hexagon to Octave
EcoSys began as a standalone company before being acquired by Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence (ALI) division. There, it continued to grow into one of the most capable Enterprise Project Performance (EPP) platforms available, serving complex capital programs across industries worldwide.
In 2026, Hexagon ALI transitioned into Octave, a standalone enterprise software company with a focused mission: helping capital-intensive organizations manage the full lifecycle of their most critical assets. Under Octave, the product portfolio was unified and rebranded to reflect a clearer, more cohesive identity.
As part of that effort, EcoSys became Sequence Enterprise.
Why the name change?
Renaming a product with EcoSys's track record isn't a decision made lightly. The change reflects a deliberate effort to align the portfolio under a unified Octave identity, one that communicates how the products work together and where the company is headed.
The name Sequence carries meaning. In music, sequencing is the discipline of arranging notes and patterns in a deliberate order to create structure, timing and impact. In capital projects, the same principle applies. Success doesn't come from managing individual pieces in isolation. It comes from coordinating scope, cost, schedule, resources and risk in the right sequence to drive outcomes. Sequence Enterprise embodies that structured coordination, bringing the moving parts of complex planning and delivery into alignment so performance is intentional, not incidental.
What is Sequence Enterprise?
Sequence Enterprise is Octave's EPP solution, built for organizations managing large, complex capital programs. It connects portfolio strategy to field execution, unifying project portfolio management, project controls and project management in a single, connected system.

With 20+ years of best practices and customer collaboration built into the platform, Sequence Enterprise isn't a new solution. It's a proven one, moving forward under a stronger identity.
What stays the same
For organizations already using the platform, the name change doesn't alter the product they rely on. The depth, configurability, integrations and governance capabilities remain fully intact. The team behind the product, the ones you’ve come to rely on, remain the same.
What changes is the name, the branding and the company it sits within. What doesn't change is the performance.
What's ahead
The rebrand coincides with a significant product update.
