General Returns Policy
Customers may return products purchased from Octave Systems, Inc. in accordance with the following Returns Policy rules:
- All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee on non-defective items.
- Shipping & C.O.D. fees & credit card charges are non-refundable.
- Damaged or incomplete returns will be refused.
- NO credit or refund authorized after 15 days of receiving goods.
Customers may return products purchased from Octave Systems Inc. by calling 408.866.8424 or sending e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a Return Authorization Number (RA). Products returned without an RA number will be returned to the sender, without prior notification and at the sender’s expense. RA numbers are valid for a period of 15 days from the date of issue. It is the customer's responsibility to return products according to the following instructions:
- All products must be in “as-new” condition and complete, including software, cables, accessories and manuals.
- Software may be returned only if the sealed package containing the diskette(s) or CD(s) is unopened.
- All products must be in the manufacturer's original box and packaging.
- Clearly write the RA number on each carton's shipping label.
- All returns must be shipped freight prepaid, insure the shipment or accept the risk or loss or damage during shipment.
Octave Systems will issue you a credit for products returned in accordance with the terms and conditions contained here in the amount of the purchase price plus sales tax, less shipping charges and any credit card surcharges.
DOA is defined as a product that is inoperable upon first installation for which claims must be made within 15 days of receipt of goods. Products that fail after being in use for any period of time beyond 15 days are defined as defective and must be handled under the manufacturer's warranty program. Customers must call 408.866.8424 or e-mail email@example.com to receive a Return Authorization Number prior to returning the goods. (See procedure for RA above.) Upon receipt of the DOA product, a replacement unit will be shipped to the customer.
From time to time, Octave Systems may, at its sole discretion, exchange defective products or portions of a product. In order to ship the replacement product, you must provide Octave Systems with your valid charge card number (American Express, Visa, MasterCard) with expiration date and billing address information as security for return of the replaced part. You are invoiced for the cost of the replacement product. The invoiced amount is processed against your charge card account only if you fail to return the replaced product within 15 days from the date of invoice. If you return the defective product within 15 days from invoice date, Octave Systems credits the invoice, and your charge card is not charged.
Most of the products we carry have manufacturer's warranty (1 year parts & labor). Please check the specifications page to check the warranty on that product.
Customers must call 408.866.8424 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a Return Authorization Number prior to returning goods. (See procedure for RA above.) The warranty term for a replacement product is the remainder of the limited warranty term applicable to the replaced product.
Octave is not responsible for typographical errors or omissions relating to the pricing, copy, photography, specifications, or application. In the event of a pricing error, we will contact you via E-mail with the corrected pricing information.
