A Few Words from the Editor: "Inspiration Wrap Up"

This past May 21st and 22nd Octave showcased the Copy Master at the Inspiration 2003 Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio. The conference provided our customers and our future customers to meet us face to face to discuss their CD/DVD Duplication needs.

The Copy Master became a hit with the show attendees. The most popular solution was the Copy Master and the Copy Writer Live. This combo allows Churches to record live sermons/choirs on the Copy Write Live. Once the sermon/choir is concluded the operator will have a master ready for duplication in the CD Copy Master. Before the parishioners leave they will have the opportunity to purchase a CD with the sermon or choir they just heard!

Copy Master Update: "DVD Plus Copy Master"
Early in May Octave introduced the DVD Plus Copy Master.
The unit is available as a 1 to 1, 1 to 4 or 1 to 7.

Question & Answer Forum:

Q:	Can software be loaded onto the Copy Master?
A:	Software can be loaded onto the hard disc drive of the Copy Master, but it would not be executable. The purpose of loading it onto the hard disc drive would be for duplication.

Q:	Can the CD Bravo handle business card media?
A:	Yes it can, however, a business card adapter kit is needed ($199) http://www.octave.com/cgi-bin/shop/shop.cgi/act/specs/item/1054129605

Q:	How many CDs should I be able to produce with a typical CD Recorder?
A:	Your question has a wide variety of answers! Typically a CD recorder has a Mean Time Between Failure of 50,000 hours with a 25% duty cycle. This means it can record for 12,500 hours. Now if you are recording one hour long CDs you could make 12,500 before the drive may fail. If you are recording 30 minute CDs then it would make 25,000 copies before you might expect it to fail. Of course these are only average figures.
