Copy Master Trouble-Shooting

Source Drive Failed

• Clean master disc or use another master disc to check if the problem still occurs.
• ‘Copy Protected’ - master discs cannot be copied.
• The Karaoke will not copy CD+G discs that are copy protected such as those made by Sound Choice (8700 Series). Other CD+G discs are formatted with Mediaclog and that makes them also not copyable.

Target Drive Failed

• Check the blank disc is not already written on.
• If the blank discs are poor quality or defective they will not copy. Recommended media: Fujifilm, Memorex, Pioneer, Ritek, Taiyo Yuden, TDK, Verbatim.
• When writing to multiple discs, all blank media should be the same brand and size.

Solution

Load Default (Restoring System Configuration) fixes most problems that are not hardware related e.g. drives failing, freezes at beginning or during copying, would not copy last 4 drives in a tower system.

Procedure:

Press ESC for 2 seconds to enter the menu 12-01 Adv Setup Under Run Protect.
Press the down arrow to 12-10 Load Default. Press ENT.
“Load Default Config? Yes” Press ENT.
“Load Default OK”
Turn off the power.
Wait for 15 seconds before turning it back on.
